Recycled Tiny Homes
Sarah, a good friend of mine, decided to join the tiny house movement because she did not care to spend $1000+ a month or more on rent for a house after she graduated. She is the adventurous type and always willing to try new things. She found some plans online and built her own home out of shipping containers. Building from old containers was a hard thing to do. Placement is crucial because getting a crane in to move the containers around is costly and makes a mess of the landscape. She Had to confer with an electrician, an architect and a contractor in order to make sure her tiny home was going to be effective and safe to live in. Once finished and got a few furnishings in, her total cost was around $10,000. However, she now owns a home and it is still big enough to entertain guests and family. Â her beautiful tiny house is just utterly wonderful and makes me smile. This is an example of one of the plans she had thought about. How about you have a try?
