The so called standard tiny house is built on a trailer, often to get around pesky building codes and zoning rules that require buildings to be a certain size in order to be deemed inhabitable. It also dodges a lot of taxes because you can deem it like a RV. But building on a trailer is somewhat limiting. When you’ve got a fixed space upon which to build your house, you can’t go crazy with the shape of your house. If you need more space based on building a family or if you acquire a new hobby, then you can’t build on because of the trailer. There are alternatives to building your tiny house on a trailer. Use the creative juices and build a tiny home just for you. These homes have some great space efficiency ideas within it, from their trundle bed and seating combo, to versatile table/coffee table. These are some of the more modern tiny homes out there, and beautifully crafted as well!
