A good friend is a single mother of now two adorable children. She had gone back to school and didn’t have the time to working full-time to pay for rent and pay for child care. So when she had to move out of her apartment, she decided to move herself and her tiny family into a tiny home. With no building experience, she spent time and money on a handyman and an electrician that we know. It was just a small one room using partitions to make a bedroom and bathroom. It was quaint but very cute. It had a basic kitchen complete with propane-powered camp stove and on-demand water heater. The heater was connected to the bathroom where there was a shower and washer/dryer. She had plenty of storage and slept with her child in the same room as herself. It worked quite well. She is doing really well in her situation. This design mimics what she had.
